It’s okay to take a step back;
To recognise your limitations
And to respect them, above all.
Doing (or not doing) something does not make you a loser;
Neither does it make you a winner;
It is merely a choice;
A plain, neutral choice;
A mere stand you take in the vast, cluttered patchwork that constitutes the universe,
that does not need to carry moral or descriptive undertones,
as long as you do not deem it necessary.
Don’t attempt to rationalise, condemn or reproach;
And please don’t perch any other living being high up on a pedestal;
For life can be a competitive game,
The choice is yours to make.
If you are willing,
Life can be an ongoing lesson;
An unrelenting guiding course,
To strengthen the foundations of your heart,
In the hope that one day;
Just one day,
You will learn the beauty of saying,
So please stay with me;
Stay with us;
And remember that you are needed and loved.
